Each time when it rains and there’s a thunder, I would start to feel cautious and if it gets any louder, I will find a place to hide. I don’t know why or what’s wrong with me and even my small little cousin is more tougher than me. What can I do to overcome this fear?

That should be normal. I'm afraid of it as well especially when there's nobody at home although I don't go to the extent of hiding.

Well, there is nothing to be afraid of because it's natural and moreover it has to happen.But i know some of my buddies still now gets afraid when it's a louder one,they act in such a way as if still they are baby and gets afraid when they hear any fearful sound like the thunder has,whatever,i am not afraid of it and never find a place to hide.
