Nowadays, it's common to see both husband and wife sharing the financial burden. Unlike the olden day, men are given responsibilities for it. Even a wife who is a homemaker can also play her part to contribute to family income by working part time.

I think it is someting that you need to discuss and agree to. My husband is quite happy for me to look after the children and not work but I like to be abl eto contribute so I work as hard as I can to do so.

Yes, to me, I don't have plans to stay at home and look after the kids after marriage. It's really boring being a housewife and I feel I need a career of my own rather than depending solely on the guys.

Yes, 100% it should be shared by both husband and wife as it is both husband and wife who have earned there part and joined in the whole amount. Many a times if only a husband or a wife looks after the funds then they might be misplaced or go into some unsual places.

I think both husband and wife share the same responsibilities towards household income. There is no such thing as depending on one single person and although my boyfriend never discuss about it, I'm sure I will not stay at home being a housewife after I get married.
