Should kids call their parent by their name?

Obviously the answer is definitely no. It's very rude to think of it. As a grown-up approaching my 30s, I still call my parents as mom and dad. I don't think there's any shame to it, and it's the way to respect and love them for all they have done for us.

No, It's not OK to call parent by their names.

In English, people use 'You' for all levels. 'You' can means "dad, mom, a person, ...".
In my first language, we have many 'name levels' for different ages and different family ranks. It makes it much harder to call a person, you have to guess their ages and call them proper.
