Should you buy links from a hign ranking site? for traffics
Why not? it boost your site ranking in search engines, if a high ranking site link to your site.
I buy text link from some higher ranking sites, not because of getting hits to mysite from those sites but because I get more backlinks or it help my site better ranking in search engines
A page rank 4 site with 1000 pages, about $5-20/month

Previously it was a roaring business to buy and sell links just to increase traffic and get high PR. But now google is penalizing those sites which specifically buys links from high PR sites. In the last google PR update, the page rank started nosediving because of this effect. About traffic, we have to wait and watch... Embarassed
