Should you tell your kids the truth that, Santa is not real?

I mean, they kids have their wish and dream.
What happen if we tell them that Santa is not real? is this good or bad?

It depends, it depends on how old and how mature is a kid. Also he is going to know it eitherway some day so why to tell them its a fun to go through all this.

I wouldn't tell them until they actually ask you. Why spoil many years of excitement for them at Christmas time?  Confused

i agree with kel..even i'll not be telling them until they are not really curious for them..i won't be wishing to break their herat after all Confused

Me too!I wouldn't tell the kid about this and let him find out for himself.Santa and the concept of gifts is too thrilling for the child and in a way it is informative too.

I decided that I wouldn't tell my children anything - they will learn from TV, friends and family and if they ask me any questions I will try to answer in a way which does not indicate whether he is or is not real. Therefore I will not be lying to them but also not spoiling things either. I am not sure what to do about teh tooth fairy though....
