Vietnam war, Vietcong tunnel systems or tunnel rats.

During the Vietnam war, the Vietcong built up highly complex tunnel systems over large parts of South Vietnam. Whole companies of Vietcong were able to survive and fight for long periods of time within these tunnel systems.

The other name for these tunnel systems are tunnel rats.

A tunnel rat often has escape holes, medical areas, kitchens, rest areas, underground food and supplies storage, HQ centres, and many more.

Bellow are the two maps of vietcong tunnel systems and how they look like.
