Throughout history men fought some great battles and there are many reason why they do so. I think when we look at it, some of the reasons are pretty selfish to say like for 'power and glory'.

injustice/oppression/tyranny
land
power and glory
politics/ideology
natural resources/treasure
safety reasons
religion

Did I miss any here?

How about 'women'?
King sent his armies just to steal the women he wants from someone.
Or a leader sent his armies to fight for the king so he can marry King's daughter?
I'm grad, no more King today.
