domain .com is alway the best, isn't it? it is popular, easy to remember, cheaper....
Google crawl and rank a site different depend on it is .com, .net or .org.....too
for example: .gov ---> government site---> google crawls the site more
Tell me more if you know anythings else about that

.net is network, .org is organization, .edu is education, .info is information .biz is business, .com, .cc, .co.uk etc... wonder what some of them mean.

It's hard to say one is 'better' than the other as it will differ. Sure, .com is the most easily recognizable, but extensions such as .gov, .edu serve a particular purpose.

Mine ends with .com and .net both normally everyone wants .com's but the availability of domains in .com extension are less thats why people go for .net's and org's.

Usually when it comes to search engines, they will prefer .com first. If I need to get a domain name, my preferences would be .com and if I can't find what I want, then I would go for .net or even .biz

I personally OWN a .info domain(bought it when the prices were same as of .com )
according to me, more than the price, the SEO's helps the site to get a proper rank in google.
so even a cheap domain as .info could get a better rank than a .co,
the site which i have is a PR3 site .

Actually content is the ebst as you told but still some factors play the role.
Generally ccTld's like .co.uk,.co.in,.tk,.us etc are country blevel one sand google recogniases them as the properties related to that country.So generally there's less proplbability of xyzu appearing in google.co.in compared to xyz.in .But com,info,net,org,biz etc gTld's are recognised in all country's google.So better use a gTld
